Johanna Leo Samman (she/they) is a Mexican editor and creative writer. She received BAs in English and Psychology from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and currently works in news editing, with previous editorial experience in traditional and independent book publishing.

Johanna’s creative writing is mainly interested in gender, cultural and racial identity, and exploring interpersonal relationships. Her work has been published by Apple In the Dark, Hawai’i Review, The Oakland Arts Review, and others.
